Spiced Apple Spritz

Layered with sweet and tart flavors, the Spiced Apple Spritz combines Maker’s Mark Classic with apple cider, sparkling wine, and a special blend of spices for a unique demerara syrup. With a splash of fresh lemon juice and apple slice for garnish, this whisky cocktail will be the belle of the fall.

ingredients and how to craft

1 Maker’s Mark® Kentucky Straight Bourbon
1 fresh lemon juice
0.5 demerara syrup (2:1 sugar to water add a cinnamon stick, grated nutmeg and a few cloves to the pan)
2 apple cider
Dry sparkling wine
Apple slices (to garnish)

How to craft

STEP 1: MIX THE INGREDIENTS

Add all ingredients apart from sparkling wine in a shaker.

STEP 2: SHAKE AND STRAIN

Shake and strain over cubed ice in a chilled glass.

STEP 3: GIVE IT A SPRITZ

Top with sparkling wine and lightly stir. Garnish with apple slices.

TO MAKE DEMERARA SYRUP

Combine 2:1 sugar to water in pan. Add a cinnamon stick, grated nutmeg, and few cloves.
